Current Lifeboat: Atlantic 85 B-856  ‘Spirit of Fred. Olsen’

Kyle of Lochalsh is situated on the mainland of Scotland between the Sound of Sleat to the south, and Inner Sound to the north. It is the main route to the Isle of Skye. We are located between Portree all- weather lifeboat 19 miles to the North West, and Mallaig all-weather lifeboat 20 miles to the South West. We respond to a wide variety of incidents and in 2013 we launched on service an average of once every 2 weeks.  Further information about our recent shouts can be found on our ‘Recent Services’ page or via our Social Media channels below
